A Better Remodeling Experience Starts Here
No disappearing acts. No surprises. No chaos.

Our Story
Andy Sherman has been working in the construction field since he was a teenager, first helping out in and then helping to run his dad’s high-end custom cabinetry business in Los Angeles. He then started his own part-time business as a handyman, transitioning it into his full-time work.
He became well-known through referrals and word of mouth, and as clients started requesting larger and larger projects, Andy decided to get his contractor’s license and start Sherman General Contracting in 2019. At that point his wife, Julianne, came on board full-time to help run the office side of things.
They expanded their company in Los Angeles before moving to Florida in 2022. They gradually built up their business in Florida while continuing work in California, and in 2025 moved their work full-time to Florida.
Throughout all of this, our goal has been to not only turn out high-quality final products, but to make the remodeling experience enjoyable for everyone involved. We work hard to replace the all-too-common contractor frustrations with strong relationships, clear communication and an organized and successful project.
As a family-owned and run, licensed, and insured business, Sherman General Contracting’s foundation is built on integrity, quality, and a commitment to helping our clients create the space they want. We truly love the work we do and strive to exceed our clients’ expectations on every job we take on.

What is your favorite part of your work?
This is really tough. I would say it comes down to a tie between the relationship you get to build with some of our clients through the process. And the other one would be the transformation and the effect it creates on the clients when they see their there vision come to fruition.
What do you do when you aren’t working?
When I’m not working, I’m usually hanging out with my kids or friends. It’s a pretty full-time gig having three kids and keeping up with all of their their hobbies and interests. And of course spending time with the wife as much as possible.
What are your top hobbies?
Snowboarding and parenting. I also love going out for chicken wings. Haha
What are you most proud of outside work?
I would say I’m most proud of my children and the job that my wife and I are doing as parents. I’m also very proud of the fact that those people around me know that I can be counted on to help what needed.

Standardly it’s coffee with just enough half and half to tint the color.
