“Andy was our lifeline for a bit. Now our home is magazine worthy. When Hurricane Helene came for Clearwater, I brushed it off based on my long history of the news crying wolf, and my last 20 or so hurricanes which were nothing burgers.

Little did I realize this time was different. Helene was joined by a king tide, and the resulting storm surge brought over 3 feet of brackish water mixed with wastewater into our home in Largo, destroying everything we owned—furniture, flooring, walls, memories—you name it. We lost our entire first floor to flood damage, and like so many neighbors, we felt completely overwhelmed staring at the wreckage.
From day one, Andy was a true lifeline. He and his crew responded quickly, even during the chaotic early recovery phase when resources were stretched thin across Pinellas County. He ensured we got fair coverage and a full rebuild (not just patchwork repairs).

What stood out most was their professionalism and care. They worked efficiently but never cut corners—they built back stronger with better features to make our home more resilient against future storms. They kept us updated every step of the way with clear timelines, photos of progress, and honest answers to our endless questions during what was an incredibly stressful time.

The end result is that our home looks beautiful—better than before—and we feel secure knowing it’s built to withstand what Florida weather can throw at it.

Having worked for a construction company in the past, I have a pretty good understanding of the successes and pitfalls of hiring the wrong company. It took my husband and me quite awhile to search and research for someone who, we thought, would not only do an incredible job but be there for resolutions should obstacles arise. And, obstacles most certainly always arise!

There was a nasty leak in our master bath shower. Because that bath needed updating anyway, we decided to bite the bullet and remodel the entire thing.

Andy, from Sherman Construction, and I met several times to discuss the Scope of Work for the project, the anticipated costs involved, permitting, and design. I was very impressed with the reasonable suggestions he gave me, the timeline to do the job, and realized fairly early I wanted to do business with Sherman Construction.

My Master bath was pretty much gutted, and tile selection, fixtures, valves, wall texture, flooring – all these choices started to come together. Not intentionally, but I selected the newer size tile – 24” x 48”. Little did I know, this size tile would require a very experienced tile installer. Andy had that tile installer. They showed skill, showed up on time, and did quality work.

I am so thrilled with the work done, the relationship established with Sherman Construction and I cannot recommend them highly enough!!! The communication was excellent, any changes were discussed and resolved, all the subs who worked on my job I would request them again. The project is beautiful, and I could not be happier or more satisfied with the outcome of my remodel.
